**Sad News: Tragic Earthquake in Louisville Hood Claims Three Lives**

In a devastating turn of events, a rare earthquake struck the Louisville neighborhood early Thursday morning, claiming the lives of three individuals and leaving dozens injured. The 4.8-magnitude tremor hit just after 3:00 a.m., shaking homes and sending residents fleeing into the streets in panic.

Emergency responders arrived within minutes to assist those trapped in collapsed structures and to manage the unfolding crisis. Authorities confirmed that three people, including a child, died due to building collapses and falling debris. Over twenty others were taken to nearby hospitals, with at least five in critical condition.

“This is one of the most tragic events our community has faced in years,” said Mayor Eliza Thomas during a press briefing. “Our hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones. We are working tirelessly to support those affected.”

The earthquake caused significant structural damage across the neighborhood, with several homes and businesses either partially or completely destroyed. Power outages have been reported in the area, and utility crews are working to restore electricity and gas lines to prevent further hazards.

The community has rallied together in the aftermath. Local churches and schools have opened their doors as temporary shelters for displaced residents, and donation drives are already underway.

While earthquakes are extremely uncommon in this region, geologists are investigating whether recent underground activity could signal a shift in local fault lines.

As search and rescue efforts continue, authorities urge residents to stay away from damaged buildings and remain alert for aftershocks.

This heartbreaking tragedy has left a deep scar on the Louisville hood, but the strength and solidarity of the community are already shining through in this

time of sorrow.
